Richard B. Cheney, prominent public servant and a businessman is the vice president. Cheney is an established figure within Washington's political world. George W. Bush, the next chief of state in the U.S. will be Cheney's fourth. Bush selected Cheney as his vice presidential running mate in July 2000 citing his knowledge and expertise. Dick Cheney, who served in the United States as Secretary and Chief of Staff during the presidency and also within Congress was a stellar serving our country. It's clear that he is a man with integrity and has earned the respect of both Republicans and Democrats. Cheney said he views his role as an honest and discreet adviser to Bush's administration. Cheney expressed his excitement at accepting the Republican vice-presidential nod. He stated that he is looking forward working with a person who is able to be a team player with individuals of differing political opinions and who share common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30, 1941) was the son Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been engaged to Richard Herbert Cheney for over 30 years. In the age of thirteen Richard and his family moved out of Nebraska and moved to Casper where his dad was the head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservancy district.
