Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford has been an American dancer, actress and vocalist since the mid 1990s. Early Broadway roles include Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. In You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in a Play. Annaleigh Ashford Tony Award winner actor has worked with many famous directors and actors in stage films and television. She continues this award-winning career through her forthcoming projects. Ashford in the near future will play opposite Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive show Welcome to Chippendales which premieres the 22nd of November. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust alongside Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch Bachrach. It will also be available in the form of an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford's Broadway return is scheduled to take place on March 20, 2023. He is paired with Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will serve as the creators of the production. Ashford's last role was as Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on a national scandal which involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, and Linda Tripp. For two seasons, she was the main character of CBS's hit series B Positive. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are just a few of her Broadway credits. Ashford lives in Los Angeles & New York. She was born in Denver & raised there.
